The Swan Lake Pavilion

The Swan Lake Pavilion on the A. H. Hermel farm in Granby Township in Nicollet County was a popular place for dancing, wedding receptions and for Saturday night enjoyment from 1920 until it was demolished in 1935.

Located just North from the County Poor Farm on County Road 3 which is now County Road 4, near the "Old Fort Road" now County Road 5, had many well known bands perform there. . .Lawrence Welk and his band (in his early years) "The Biggest Little Band in America" stopped and performed here three times in this time period.
